Brief Description:
The HR Delivery Associate will support the manufacturing site based in Villa Guardia, function as a subject matter expert with specialized knowledge and techniques to resolve more complex employee relations situations in their allocated countries and also implementing specific people programs designed by COEs, HRBPs and other broad reaching initiatives across the business.
The position will report directly to the HR Delivery International Team Leader and will work closely across the global HR team including the Country Lead Delivery Partner broader HR Delivery Team, HRBPP, HRBP team, HR COEs, and HR Operations.
As the lead for the manufacturing site, you will be required to work closely with Country Lead Delivery Partner, other HR Delivery Partners and HR Operations to support Delivery activity in your country and act as point of escalation for the manufacturing site.
This role will also provide support to employees and managers up to senior managers and heads of department to develop proactive talent outcomes (enhancing recruitment efforts to ensure the right talent is hired, supporting exceptional onboarding and communicating clear role expectations enabling new employees to quickly deliver and perform, supporting employee development and talent retention and enhancing employee engagement and performance). This role will also proactively seize the initiative to support their business areas deliver in their corporate objectives through a variety of globally aligned and creative people strategies that enable leaders to build their people capability, design strong organizational structures and manage and develop talent.
This role will be the country lead for each of the countries they support on employee relations, workers council’s management (where applicable), resolving personnel grievances, benefits management, ensuring compliance with regulations and updating policies and practices for specific countries.
Essential Functions
- A good understanding of the organisation, its strategy and customers, and an excellent understanding of the people challenges faced by the organisation.
- Understand the supporting functional strategies to help deliver effective HR programs and projects including talent and performance management, compensation planning and driving these to completion within their countries.
- As HR lead for manufacturing site, knowledge of local employment legislation and application will be required.
- Provide HR Delivery support on key business imperatives where there is a delivery/execution element within your country – i.e. talent review pull through, support recruitment, org health support, HPO practices.
- Bringing people expertise and delivering solutions to help the business area to deliver its strategy.
- Collaborate with the Global HR teams ensuring to leverage the HR operating model fully including: working with HR Ops to leverage their role fully across Jazz, working on process improvements, HR management tools, implement operational best practices.
- Provide guidance and coaching on people practices and support on a wide range of HR issues to managers in keeping with multiple local country employment law, our overall HR practices, and workplace culture.
- Recruitment support – interview support, Headcount, Requisition and position management.
- General manager support with operational activities – i.e. Promotions, Relocations, Secondments, Comp and benefits queries (job levelling), employee lifecycle queries and changes.
- Benefit management for your countries.
- Counsel and coach frontline to senior managers on proactive leadership and provide advice to create productive and cooperative work environments in line with Jazz values that enhance employee engagement and develop the full potential of our talent.
- Able to influence leaders through impactful questioning and challenge others to get to the root of people and business opportunities and issues.
- Manage the implementation of change initiatives to support the achievement of functional goals and organizational growth within your countries.
- Lead overall response to employee relations inquiries; conduct and manage the investigation of complaints and concerns across multiple countries; assess the severity of such issues; involve appropriate individuals in local legal teams, HR, and business; and facilitate appropriate action based on policy and practice.
- Lead on the management of relevant workers councils and bodies such as trade unions to maintain positive employee relations in a regulated and collective context.
- Educate employees and managers on policies, procedures, local laws, and standards both individually and in group sessions.
- Proactive use of data, metrics and evidence to inform and drive decision making and change across key business areas.
- Ensuring appropriate escalation and awareness is shared with the EU/Int & IPM Delivery Lead.
- Site presence required minimum 1 day per week
- Requirement to travel from time to time based on business need
- Due to the nature of the work and to support continuity – all members of the team are required to support across the team and cover all functions and countries where required in order to cover during high workload and annual leave.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Progressive HR partnership experience, across countries they will be supporting, working in a role with accountability for partnering with leaders, managing employee relations and experience in at least two of the HR functional areas: performance management, rewards, talent acquistion or learning or organizational development.
- Strong process orientation able to implement global solutions in multiple countries. Also able to design and develop policies, procedures and programmes necessary in individual countries.
- Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively and effectively with stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
- Demonstrated advising and coaching skills for up to senior level managers.
- Demonstrated ability to define problems, establish creative solutions, and determine the optimal course of action in the context of broader organizational strategies and objectives.
- Works well under pressure, meets deadlines, drives projects to completion, and manages the results.
- Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service orientation and management presence.
- Experience working within a global organization with a focus on matrix teams and projects.
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters with high integrity.
- Ability to work independently yet be highly collaborative.
- Strong ability to handle people data to inform decisions and key areas on which to focus.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and HR systems (preferably Workday).
- Understanding of payroll beneficial
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related discipline is required
- HR professional certification is preferred
- Experience with workers councils, trade unions and or collective agreements in relevant countries required.
- Local language for supporting country required.
