The Associate Director of Business Operations will work within the Customer Strategy & Operational Excellence (CSOE) Team in the EUR/INT region. You will identify, prioritise and lead the delivery of key strategic and operational initiatives to ensure the execution of the EUR/INT priorities.
Responsible for managing the cross-functional alignment and activity to support in areas such as
commercial integration
geographic expansion
infrastructure build,
transformation projects
product launch readiness.
This role will ensure that there is excellent co-ordination and communication across the programmes it is involved with.
Essential Functions
Lead project and matrix teams in the delivery of region-wide programmes of work identified by EILT and other senior leaders to deliver on the EUR/INT priorities
Examples of key initiatives could be:
Leading the development and execution of key strategic projects.
Leading the execution of EU/INT Integration or divestment plans for businesses acquired/divested by Jazz
Leading on the development and adoption of new EU/INT and Global business processes across the region
Work with EILT and other leaders to identify and lead on driving projects to enable operational excellence across EU/INT operations to deliver high levels of organizational efficiency and enable the business to focus on key deliverables.
Apply PM knowledge using integrated project plan roadmaps by gathering information and incorporating cross-functional input.
Oversees and maintains the integrated project plan using an appropriate tool to identify and monitor critical path activities and drive execution of key development activities and milestones to achieve project objectives within scope, on schedule and within budget constraints
Leading cross-functional teams in preparing integration / transformation project objectives that support expansion and harmonization plans.
Collaborate with team members to prepare project updates for governance meetings and clearly communicate status in written documents and presentations to the leadership team and sponsors. Example stakeholders include commercial, medical, market access, pricing & HEOR, supply, regulatory, Customer Strategy & Operational Excellence Peers (CSOE), country team
Collaborate with team members to identify potential project risks and prepare/manage the Risk Management plan including risk mitigation and contingency planning
Participate in implementing improvements to project management processes, tools and infrastructure to ensure ongoing efficiency across the Jazz organization
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Possesses knowledge and experience of the drug commercialization process

Fully trained in all relevant PM processes and can competently use and employ essential project management tools and methodologies to facilitate project team activities, manage risks and ensure team execution.
Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity; always seeking new approaches and challenging the organization to new levels of success. Exceptional interpersonal and influence skills.
Demonstrated experience as successful influential leader across matrix teams, working with high-level global and EUR/INT stakeholders in order to design, plan and manage execution of organizational transformation initiatives
Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to guide and motivate project team members and ensure conflicting functional needs are recognized and resolved in a professional and timely manner
Ability to define and manage project scope, timelines and deliverables for each project and map out interdependencies across other projects and functions
Ability to influence without authority and balance task requirements with personality issues to solve a broad range of problems in varying scope and complexity Judgment and discretion and ability to manage highly confidential information
Strong analytical capability to develop concise insights from wide and deep data sets
Excellent communication and meeting management skills with the ability to define, plan and actively facilitate team meetings, record key decisions and actions for the projects
Ability to clearly communicate project status and resource constraints to senior management
Ability to identify Business Owners to handover projects for ongoing operations
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
BA/BSc Life Sciences Degree and extensive experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry and related experience in project management
Depth and Breadth of experience across the Pharmaceutical Industry with substantial experience developing, evaluating and/or managing significant operational programs and/or initiatives
Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification a plus
High business acumen and presentation development skills (PowerPoint).
