Position Profile
The Senior Product Manager (SPM) will play a pivotal role within the Business Unit Oncology (H/O) in Germany, being the sole marketer responsible for the AML portfolio.
The SPM will develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies for haematology products, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and cross-functional collaboration.
SPM will be responsible for aligning a cross-functional team around clear brand strategies while leading, inspiring, developing and motivating the cross-functional team to successfully achieve portfolio and organizational objectives.
Essential Functions
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute mid to long-term strategic brand plans for haematology products, ensuring alignment with the overall portfolio strategy and business unit goals.
Cross-functional Leadership: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, marketing, sales, network management, and market access, to achieve brand objectives and drive product adoption.
Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, sales performance, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and optimize brand performance.
Project Management: Provide project management leadership to ensure timely execution of brand development milestones and marketing initiatives.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales director to support the selling process, including the development of sales strategies and monitoring key account performance.
Brand Advocacy: Act as an ambassador for haematology brands, driving initiatives within the marketing department and influencing regional and international brand strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop robust relationships with affiliate and regional staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to optimize product strategy.
Budget Management: Participate in the forecasting process and contribute to the setting of annual sales and budget targets for haematology brands.
Content Creation: Develop and manage all marketing content, including promotional materials, digital content, and communication strategies.
Event Management: Plan and execute marketing events, such as conferences, webinars, and workshops, to promote haematology products and engage with key stakeholders.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, healthcare professionals, and opinion leaders to support brand loyalty and advocacy.
Performance Reporting: Regularly report on marketing performance metrics and KPIs to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all marketing activities and materials comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Pharmaceutical Sales Experience: Proven experience in a hospital environment, demonstrating the ability to make a significant impact.
Project Skills: Strong project management abilities, driving successful outcomes.
Marketing Expertise: At least 5 years in pharmaceutical marketing, including multi-channel strategies, leading innovative campaigns.
Specialized Knowledge: Preferably experience in oncology, haematology, or orphan drugs.
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, addressing business challenges and seizing opportunities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare professionals and colleagues.
Skills: Excellent written and spoken English as well as IT skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are a must
