Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Oncology Franchise, the Head of Neuro-Oncology – Commercial will lead the strategy and execution of Jazz’s US Neuro-Oncology franchise, with immediate responsibility for a first-in-class therapy with significant potential to transform outcomes for patients with brain tumors. This leader will set the long-term vision for the franchise, drive commercial success across multiple functions, and ensure Jazz delivers meaningful impact for patients in neuro-oncology.

As a member of the Oncology Portfolio Cross-Functional Leadership Team, the Head of Neuro-Oncology will collaborate with counterparts in Solid Tumors and Hematology, as well as the Oncology Franchise Leader, to shape overall portfolio strategy, execution, and trade-off decisions across Jazz Oncology.

Key Responsibilities

Drive commercial success

  • Lead all aspects of commercialization for a first-in-class therapy with significant potential to transform outcomes for patients with diffuse midline glioma, ensuring competitive positioning, access, and adoption.

  • Develop and execute brand strategies, launch readiness, and lifecycle management plans to maximize patient impact and business growth.

  • Work with the cross-functional team to explore business development opportunities in neuro-oncology

  • Partner closely with R&D and Medical Affairs to integrate commercial insights into clinical development and long-term lifecycle strategies.

  • Oversee operating budgets, resource allocation, and commercial performance metrics with agility and discipline.

Lead and inspire teams

  • Directly oversee marketing and sales while providing matrixed leadership across Market Access, Insights & Analytics, Medical Affairs, and Patient Support Services.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top commercial talent, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Build organizational capability to anticipate market dynamics and deliver sustainable franchise success.

Shape external engagement

  • Build strong relationships with payers, providers, advocacy organizations, and key opinion leaders in neuro-oncology.

  • Champion a best-in-class patient engagement strategy that ensures the patient perspective informs decision-making.

  • Represent Jazz externally as a credible and influential leader in neuro-oncology.

Contribute to portfolio leadership

  • Serve as a member of the Oncology Commercial Leadership Team, aligning neuro-oncology strategy with the broader Jazz Oncology portfolio.

  • Provide commercial input into portfolio planning, trade-offs, and resource prioritization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to maximize the impact of Jazz’s oncology business.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in biopharma, with significant expertise in oncology (neuro-oncology and/or rare oncology strongly preferred).

  • Large team management experience preferred (10+ people)

  • Demonstrated success in US P&L leadership roles with accountability for cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, market access, analytics, patient support).

  • 3–5 years each of sales leadership and marketing leadership, with proven ability to launch and grow products in competitive markets.

  • Deep expertise in pricing and reimbursement, HEOR, market access, and lifecycle management.

  • Experience partnering with R&D and Medical Affairs to integrate commercial insights into clinical development.

  • Recognized credibility with external stakeholders (KOLs, payers, advocacy groups) and strong patient and market orientation.

  • Proven ability to build and inspire high-performing teams through transformation and growth.

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-driven leadership style.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $370,000.00 - $444,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
