Position Profile
The Senior Director, Global Workplace (GWP) will lead strategic planning and operations for Jazz’s global facilities and real estate portfolio. This role ensures alignment with Jazz’s hybrid work model (Remix) and partners closely with HR, IT, and senior leadership to deliver workplace solutions that support business needs across regions.
This position oversees six direct reports located in the US, UK, and Ireland who manage our six main offices and approximately 10 satellite locations globally. Responsibilities include optimizing workplace operations, managing the GWP budget and the global real estate portfolio, and driving cost efficiency while supporting employee experience and collaboration.
The position reports to the VP, Finance within the CFO organization and will work closely with senior leaders to determine the needs of the business, communicate the GWP strategy, and influence the evolution of our Remix working model.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities & Workplace Operations:
Lead and develop a global facilities team, focusing on performance, growth, and succession planning.
Oversee day-to-day facility operations, ensuring timely resolution of requests and cross-functional support.
Collaborate and strategize with Finance, Procurement, Legal, HR, R&D, Commercial, Technical Operations and IT to ensure the GWP strategy is aligned with and supports the Remix hybrid work model and corporate objectives.
Drive change management initiatives, including M&A integrations.
Manage GWP budgets and long-range plans; source and oversee vendors for workplace services.
Design and implement effective global workplace strategies that support our Remix hybrid working model.
Real Estate Portfolio Planning & Management:
Jazz real estate portfolio:
6 core offices in the US, UK, and Ireland: Approximately 200k sq. ft. leased with an annual rent of approx. $9M
11 satellite offices and 2 labs in Europe, North America, Australia, and Japan: Approximately 60k sq. ft. leased with an annual rent of approx. $3M
Develop and monitor short and long-term global facilities plans and budgets for each region, ensuring key metrics are met.
In collaboration with business partners, forecast global real estate needs and maintain market intelligence through relationships with brokers, landlords, and developers.
Coordinate office site selection and present strategic options to executives and site leaders. Present best alternatives and support the decision-making process. Develop key metrics to support real estate decisions.
Partner with Legal and Procurement to negotiate leases and amendments to secure favorable terms that are in the best interests of the company for current and future requirements.
Review lease language and develop work letters and milestones - partner with Legal on compliance.
Oversee construction projects from inception to completion, including vendor selection, design, planning, and relocation, ensuring alignment with business goals. Determine the needs of impacted departments and verify their requirements are in line with company goals. Ensure projects are designed to meet business requirements.
Participate in construction meetings ensuring the company is well represented.
Oversee coordination with IT and ensure their requirements are fully integrated into the design and construction process.
Remix Hybrid Working Model:
Serve as a core member of the Remix team, providing insights and recommendations on the effectiveness of our hybrid working model.
Support the implementation and success of Connection Days, Anchor days, and other initiatives that improve employee connection and collaboration.
Provide insight, direction, and support change management initiatives related to the Remix model and its evolution.
Employee Health & Safety:
Develop, implement and oversee EH&S programs including ergonomics and security protocols.
Enhance security levels, create policies and conduct appropriate testing.
Implement global Emergency Action Plans and notification systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proven leadership experience managing global teams and delivering strategic and operational results.
Strong interpersonal skills with a consultative and collaborative approach; able to influence senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to assess complex issues, communicate clearly, and develop timely, effective solutions.
Broad knowledge of EH&S, security, and risk management.
Ability to interpret construction plans and engineering reports.
Proficient in creating and managing spreadsheets and developing clear, impactful presentations.
Professional demeanor with a positive attitude, integrity, and a strong sense of reliability.
Strategic thinker with a broad organizational perspective.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of your time.
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, business, or engineering preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in facilities management, construction, and multi-national leasing, ideally in a multi-national company.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
