Brief Description: 

 

The Finance Business Owner, FP&A Systems & Data is a senior Finance business leader accountable for defining how Global Finance uses data, planning systems, automation, and advanced analytics to drive decision making, insight quality, and operational effectiveness. They will have strong acumen for financial planning processes and accounting close calendars as well as the movement of master data and business data throughout the planning cycle. 

 

This leader serves as the Finance business owner for FP&A platforms (including Oracle EPM), establishing business priorities, strategic vision, operational processes, value-based outcomes, governance standards, and success measures, partnering closely with our Digital Enterprise Capabilities (IT) team for technical delivery and setting the multi-year vision for Finance technology enablement. 

 

The successful candidate will act as the Finance business lead for Oracle EPM, oversee data governance standards, and lead predictive analytics for the Finance Organisation.  

The Finance Business Owner, FP&A Systems & Data chairs the Oracle EPM CoE, ensuring cohesive governance across systems, processes, metadata, and integrations, delivering automation, predictive capabilities, and insight readiness across Global Finance. 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities 

 

Business Leadership & Governance 

  • Lead Finance Data & Technology for Global Finance, serving as the business owner for data, technology, automation, and predictive analytics. 

  • Chair the Oracle EPM CoE, governing metadata, hierarchies, naming standards, validations, freeze windows, and security roles. 

  • Define, communicate, and execute the multi-year Finance technology roadmap for automation, predictive planning, and system modernisation in partnership with the Digital Enterprise Capabilities (IT) team 

  • Establish and enforce enterprise Finance data governance ensuring accuracy, auditability, and compliance. 

  • Lead Finance-owned governance for data, planning systems, and automation across Global Finance. 

  • Define Finance standards for data definitions, metrics, hierarchies, controls, and usage. 

 

Oracle EPM Ownership & System Governance 

  • Serve as the Finance business owner for Oracle EPM modules (including but not limited to Revenue, R&D, CapEx and Workforce), accountable for business requirements, prioritization, and value delivery. 

  • Own change-control governance, overseeing release cycles, regression testing, enhancement prioritisation, and cross-pillar alignment. 

  • Define Finance priorities and decision rights for enhancements and releases, drive standardization as needed,  partnering with Digital Enterprise Capabilities (IT) for execution. 

  • Govern system locks, freeze windows, metadata updates, and template standards to ensure planning cycle readiness.  Own the standardization of process and planning cycle management within the EPM suite. 

  • Ensure stable integrations across planning, allocations, reporting, forecasting, and actuals systems. 

 

Automation & AI / Predictive Analytics Enablement 

  • Optimize the use of tools and platforms to define a strategy for use of automation, predictive analytics and AI within Finance processes. 

  • Drive adoption of predictive planning, AI-based anomaly detection, automated variance RCA, and future-ready analytics. 

  • Partner with Global Finance teams to automate forecasting workflows, reconciliation tasks, and cycle-critical processes. 

 

Data Quality & Metadata Governance 

  • Own Finance data quality scorecards, validation logic, exception reporting, and remediation workflows. 

  • Maintain metadata, dimensional integrity, naming standards, and data lineage across planning and reporting systems. 

 

Stakeholder Leadership & Executive Influence 

  • Act as senior technology advisor to Global Finance leadership. 

  • Partner with DEC (IT), and functional Finance to shape enterprise financial technology. 

  • Influence senior leaders on system design, automation roadmap, and insight generation. 

 

People Leadership & Team Development 

  • Lead and develop the FP&A Data & Technology team. 

  • Shape future-state expansion including automation enablement, engineering, and predictive analytics roles. 

  • Drive capability building, succession planning, and digital-finance upskilling. 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

  • ​Extensive experience in Finance technology, FP&A systems, or enterprise data governance. 

  • Strong Oracle EPM Cloud experience (metadata, validations, security, change control, integrations). 

  • Deep understanding of FP&A processes. 

  • Technical proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), automation (Alteryx, ETL).  

  • Experience with predictive analytics, AI/ML enablement, and system automation. 

  • Strong communication, change management, and stakeholder influence skills. 

 

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (required). 

  • Master’s degree in a related field (preferred). 

  • Oracle EPM Cloud certifications (Planning, PCM, Narrative Reporting, Data Management). 

  • Certifications in analytics, automation, or AI. 

  • PMP, CBIP, or equivalent credentials.
