​As a Senior Manager on the Epilepsy and Movement Disorder (EMD) Marketing team, you will play an essential role in developing and executing strategies and tactics focused on the HCP audience. You will lead several initiatives, including short-term execution, as well as helping drive new capabilities that will set the brand up for success in the mid-to-long term. The ideal candidate possesses strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills, a track record of successful execution, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and a passion to serve patients while demonstrating the Jazz corporate values.

Core Functions & Expectations: Seeking a team-player who can flex both strategic and tactical expertise across Peer-to-Peer promotional efforts to deliver on brand objectives. This person will report to the HCP Marketing Director.

  • ​Support the development of an integrated Strategic Brand Plan

  • ​Manage Peer-to-Peer Education, including developing and optimizing branded and unbranded medical education decks for the Speaker Bureau 

  • ​Manage the Speaker Bureau and program execution, including monitoring the effectiveness of programs 

  • ​Set that strategy for field implementation of Speaker Programs and partner with field leadership on execution 

  • ​Lead insight-gathering from KOLs, including advisory boards 

  • ​Develop KOL-led education for use in personal promotion and media  

  • ​Partner with field and Marketing colleagues to execute impactful KOL-led Congress presentations 

  • ​Support the development of market research to uncover HCP insights and market trends; propose insight-based strategies and tactics to address key unmet needs for the brand 

  • ​Ensure individual programs and tactics are delivered on time and within forecasted budget 

  • ​Lead the approval process for Peer-to-Peer materials, including the internal Medical/Legal/Regulatory review process 

  • ​Partner with multiple functions, teams and vendors (creative agency and commercial counterparts, Legal, Reg, Medical, Sales, Marketing Ops, Market Access, Training, Compliance etc.) to execute projects on time and on budget 

  • ​Represent the brand vision and marketing team objectives at all times while adhering to regulatory, medical and compliance marketing parameters 

Qualifications: 

  • ​Doctorate degree or Master’s degree and 2 years of marketing and media experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of marketing and media experience are required  

  • ​4+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in any combination of the following areas: marketing; market access; project management & planning; sales; commercial analytics 

  • ​Proven record of collaborating with cross-functional teams; demonstrated ability to successfully influence multiple levels of an organization, both internally and externally 

  • ​Excellent communication (written and verbal) with the ability to tailor communication style to cross-functional partners 

  • ​Self-starter with excellent project management skills and the ability to deliver on multiple priorities simultaneously 

  • ​Proven record of successful vendor management, specifically agency partners 

  • ​Demonstrated history of good judgement, problem solving, strategic thinking and decision-making abilities 

  • ​Demonstrated ability to shift focus between strategy, planning and execution with agility and strict attention to detail 

  • ​Experience successfully managing budgets 

  • ​Experience navigating legal/regulatory/medical processes 

  • ​A strongly preferred candidate would have a pharmaceutical career progression demonstrating growth in responsibility and scope, particularly in commercial positions 

  • ​The position will be primarily home based, with the expectation that the person is willing to travel to meetings as necessary    

Description of Work Environment: 

  • ​Frequent computer laptop or tablet use, not usually at a workstation  

  • ​Hybrid work environment includes the ability to work remotely as well as working in the Carlsbad office as needed. Travel expectations up to 40%

  • ​Responsibilities may require a work schedule that may include working outside of “normal” work hours in order to meet business demands

  • ​Frequent public contact requiring appropriate business apparel

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $140,000.00 - $210,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
