The Associate Director, Transactional Monitoring, Data Analytics & Risk Assessment serves as a key compliance analytics and monitoring lead, driving data-backed insights to inform risk identification, monitoring priorities, and compliance program effectiveness. This role supports the advancement of a risk-based, data-driven compliance monitoring model by integrating diverse data sources, developing key risk indicators (KRIs), and partnering cross-functionally to translate insights into meaningful compliance and business impact.

This individual will collaborate across Ethics, Compliance & Privacy, Legal, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, and IT to enhance visibility into compliance risks and support informed, data-driven decision-making. The Associate Director plays a critical role in strengthening compliance oversight and enabling scalable, efficient monitoring and risk assessment processes.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Serves as a strategic partner and analytical leader, driving data-informed insights that enhance monitoring effectiveness, risk identification, and overall compliance program performance.

  • Leads the advancement of a risk-based compliance monitoring model, leveraging transactional monitoring, data analytics, and key risk indicators to proactively identify trends and emerging risks.

  • Accountable for monitoring execution and analytics strategy, ensuring leadership has clear, actionable visibility into compliance risks and program effectiveness.

  • Partners across Compliance, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, IT, and Legal to enable consistent, risk-informed decision-making.

  • A successful candidate brings a growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a focus on continuously strengthening analytics and monitoring capabilities.

Transactional Monitoring & Risk Detection

  • Lead and continuously enhance a risk-based transactional monitoring program across key compliance risk areas (e.g., HCP engagements, speaker programs, transfers of value)

  • Oversee monitoring activities to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks using established and evolving methodologies

  • Establish and refine scalable monitoring frameworks, processes, and governance practices

  • Drive stakeholder alignment on findings, remediation actions, and issue resolution tracking

Data Analytics & Decision Support

  • Lead the development and maturation of compliance data analytics capabilities supporting monitoring, reporting, and risk detection

  • Integrate and analyze multi-source data to deliver a comprehensive view of compliance risk

  • Define and implement analytics-driven monitoring rules, thresholds, and risk indicators

  • Oversee development of dashboards and reporting tools that deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership

  • Translate complex analytics into concise, decision-ready insights that inform prioritization and strategy.

Risk Assessment & Prioritization

  • Contribute to and help shape the global compliance risk assessment process, incorporating qualitative and quantitative inputs

  • Analyze data and stakeholder insights to identify and prioritize key compliance risks

  • Partner cross-functionally to validate risks and align on mitigation strategies

  • Maintain risk outputs and reporting to support leadership oversight and governance

Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) & Insights

  • Establish and maintain KRIs to monitor risk across activities, geographies, and business areas

  • Provide regular, insight-driven reporting to inform monitoring priorities and program evolution

  • Continuously refine metrics, thresholds, and analytical approaches to strengthen risk visibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Build and sustain strong partnerships across Compliance and business stakeholders

  • Influence alignment on monitoring priorities and analytics initiatives, focusing on high-risk, high-impact areas

  • Translate insights into coordinated actions and enterprise-level improvements

  • Operate effectively in a matrixed environment, influencing without direct authority.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement enhancements to data sources, tools, and analytical methodologies

  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and consistency

  • Lead adoption of new approaches and incorporate learnings to strengthen the compliance monitoring program

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 7-10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, data analytics, or related field within pharma/biotech or healthcare

  • Experience supporting compliance monitoring, analytics, or risk assessment programs

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience working with large, complex datasets and delivering actionable insights

  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel); familiarity with advanced analytics tools preferred

  • Working knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, Sunshine Act, global regulations)

  • Experience with compliance monitoring, auditing, or risk assessment programs preferred

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across cross-functional teams

  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, compelling insights and recommendations

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Collaborative and adaptable, with effectiveness in fast-paced, evolving environments

  • High intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and improvement

 

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in a quantitative, scientific, or business discipline; advanced degree preferred

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $151,200.00 - $226,800.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
