The Associate Director, Commercial Global Data Strategy leads the definition and execution of commercial data strategy, including data sourcing, vendor management, and data inventory management within the Data Enablement & Platforms team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Data Enablement & Platforms, this role evaluates emerging data trends, drives data acquisition strategy and onboarding, and ensures strong vendor performance through contract and SLA oversight. The role also oversees commercial data inventory and partners with enterprise data teams to align on governance, standards, and scalable data asset utilization to power analytics, orchestration and AI-driven customer experiences.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Direction

· Define and lead global data strategy Global Commercial (GCO) roadmap, including evaluation of emerging data sources, vendor capabilities, and market trends to expand customer, market and engagement insights

· Own commercial data sourcing approach, including vendor selection, contracting approach, and onboarding requirements, ensuring alignment to priority commercial use cases

· Manage external commercial data vendor portfolio, overseeing vendor relationships, spend, and performance to ensure delivery against contractual commitments and business expectations

· Enforce data contract frameworks and SLA performance standards, proactively monitoring vendor delivery, identifying risks and driving corrective actions or adjustments (e.g, renegotiation) to ensure data quality, timeliness, and reliability

· Drive ongoing vendor optimization and rationalization, identifying opportunities to consolidate vendors, eliminate underperforming sources and improve cost efficiency and data effectiveness

· Own and maintain the commercial data inventory, ensuring all data assets are accurately documented, discoverable, and positioned for reuse across commercial use cases

· Partner with CX data master and data management, and enterprise data teams to align on ingestion, integration and governance standards, ensuring commercial data assets are scalable, interoperable and compliant

· Drive adoption of GCO standardized data governance, stewardship, and quality practices to improve reliability, reduce manual intervention, and enable trusted data capabilities globally.

· Monitor commercial data capability performance across teams to identify optimization opportunities and ensure data quality, reliability, and governance standards meet franchise and global needs.

· Use insights and feedback from franchise leaders, CX team partners, and Global Capability Owners to continuously learn and refine ways of working and priorities.

· Model best practices, influencing ways of working, and contributing to thought leadership within the team.

Collaboration

· Partner with Enterprise Data Governance teams to align on data standards, policies, definitions and shape the adoption of consistent data practices across Jazz.

· Lead cross-functional alignment on global data strategy and data capabilities, working with Franchise, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and CXO leaders to ensure initiatives support organizational goals.

· Partner with Procurement and Legal to define and manage 3rd party data contracts, ensuring optimized spend, strong contractual protections and consistent delivery of high-quality data in alignment with SLAs.

· Share insights, risks, and lessons learned with CX peers and team leadership to support alignment and continuous improvement.

· Collaborate with Data Enablement & Platforms peers to ensure global data strategy, data standards and policies, and data capability approaches are integrated and consistent.

· Represent Global Commercial Data Strategy in team planning discussions, ensuring franchise needs, dependencies and constraints are clearly communicated and reflected in team priorities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical Skills

· Strong understanding of the Data Enablement & Platforms team and how team solutions support global needs and priorities.

· Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans, guide team execution, and make informed tradeoffs based on performance, risk, and business impact.

· Familiarity with master data management platforms, data governance tools, and commercial data architectures.

· Experience with external commercial data sourcing, including structuring high-quality vendor agreements with defined SLAs, control frameworks, and data validation checks.

· Strong governance and translation skills to enable a trusted data foundation supporting analytics, omnichannel, and Commercial AI priorities.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, technology, or related field.

· 8+ years of experience in commercial data strategy or data sourcing within a pharmaceutical organization.

· Demonstrated experience with external data sourcing and vendor management, including contract negotiation, SLA oversight, and performance optimization of third-party data vendors.

· Strong understanding of commercial data domains (e.g., HCP/HCO, patient, payer) and how they support business needs in pharma.

· Experience with data cataloging or data inventory tools.

Preferred / Additional Qualifications:

· Advanced degree (MBA or relevant graduate degree) preferred.

· Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries preferred.

· Experience working in the capability operating model

· Experience partnering with enterprise platform teams or global capability teams supporting digital and operational capabilities.

· Experience working in rare disease or specialty brands, with strong understanding of unique stakeholder dynamics.

Working Requirements:

· 20 to 30% travel will be required.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
