The Commercial Global Capability Owner, Payer and Patient Data Management, focuses on hands-on capability execution and delivery of data capabilities that support payer-related decisions (e.g. market access, contracting, pricing) and secure patient data management for compliant engagement and analytics use cases. This role is accountable for driving capability execution while shaping strategic direction within the payer and patient data domains, ensuring solutions scale, meet regulatory requirements, and deliver business value. This role reports to the Senior Director of Data Enablement & Platforms and partners closely with other Global Capability Owners, Tech Leads, engineering teams, and vendor teams to ensure solutions are delivered in alignment with capability priorities and enterprise standards.
The CX Payer / Patient Data Management team delivers governed, scalable data capabilities for payer and patient records, so data is reliable, consistent and interoperable where required. As the capability owner, you will support the delivery of payer and patient data including standardized hierarchies and relationships, reference data alignment and business-ready data layers, to ensure data is consumable, trusted and delivers measurable value to users.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Global Capability Capability Strategy & Roadmap Contribution
· Define and articulate the capability vision and outcomes aligned to global and franchise priorities.
· Lead the ongoing evolution of the commercial Payer and Patient Data Management roadmap, making prioritization and trade-off decisions to add the most value based upon user feedback and aligned with customer experience data strategy.
· Translate business needs into well-defined capability requirements and user stories for commercial Payer and Patient Data Management that enable efficient and high-quality delivery
· Drive the execution of the capability strategy for commercial Payer and Patient Data Management, own and continuously evolve the Commercial Data Management roadmap across Payer and Patient data capabilities by leading domain-specific roadmap discussions - gathering user feedback, identifying business needs, and surfacing insights that inform prioritization and trade-off decisions.
Collaboration
· Elicit and clarify requirements from business stakeholders to ensure the CX Payer and Patient Data Management global capability team delivers solutions that are strategically aligned with key business outcomes and defined success metrics.
· Partner closely with Global Capability Owners and Tech Lead to align capability priorities with data architecture, platform capabilities, and technical feasibility, ensuring trade-offs support global data strategy and delivery sequencing.
· Ensure clarity and quality of capability requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to enable efficient execution and alignment with business partner activity needs.
· Partner across the Customer Experience Organization to support seamless integration and ongoing capability evolution to support scalability, flexibility, and compliance requirements.
· Provide a trusted patient and payer data foundation that enables business teams to make informed decisions on targeting, account planning and aligned engagement across the organization.
User-Centered Solution Development
· Leverage user insights and engagement data to shape Commercial Payer and Patient Data Management capabilities that drive an improved customer experience (for both internal and external users).
· Lead and participate in discovery efforts, engaging directly with users and key stakeholders to deeply understand their needs, validate business value, and assess technical feasibility prior to development.
Delivery, Optimization & Value Realization
· Partner across Global Capability teams to support the delivery of scalable, reusable Commercial Payer and Patient Data Management capabilities.
· Monitor capability adoption, outcome KPIs and engagement metrics to inform backlog prioritization and continuous improvement.
· Responsible for completion of documentation (PRDs, user stories, discovery artifacts) using standard templates, and sprint planning in partnership with the Tech Lead and development teams.
· Provide feedback on enterprise platforms and architecture, driving continuous improvement in outcomes and data quality, usability, and performance while leveraging standardized enterprise solutions.
· Leverage outcome metrics to support the articulation of the capability's value proposition and its impact, promoting capability awareness across CX operations and fostering a culture of engagement and feedback in partnership with Activation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technical Skills
· Understanding of enterprise data platforms, systems, and capability areas (e.g., master data management / MDM, CRM, CDP, data fabric/mesh, analytics platforms, reporting tools, data governance, data quality, and data integration) and the business and user outcomes they support.
· Familiarity with payer and patient data capabilities and how they enable key business and user capabilities across Market Access and Patient Services.
· Understanding of regulated patient data processes, including privacy, consent, and coordination with adverse event reporting requirements where applicable.
· Understanding of data management and governance capabilities (e.g., identity resolution, data standardization, data enablement, segmentation, PII and PHI management, pseudonymization, and compliance with global data privacy regulations such as GDPR) applicable to the Payer / Patient Data Management team.
· Experience designing scalable capability frameworks, prioritization logic, and governance standards.
· Experience working within Agile capability development and capability operating models.
· Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar capability management and collaboration platforms.
· Experience partnering with end users across capability discovery, design, and deployment.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business, technology, data/analytics, life sciences, or related field.
· 7+ years of experience in capability management, capability ownership, data management, business analysis, or digital capability operations, preferably supporting enterprise data or customer data capabilities.
· Demonstrated experience contributing to roadmap delivery and writing capability requirements across cross-functional teams.
· Experience working with global data platforms and solutions (e.g., MDM, CRM, CDP, data fabric/mesh, analytics platforms, reporting tools) supporting payer and patient data domains.
· Strong understanding of commercial patient and payer data, and how they support business needs in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
Preferred / Additional Qualifications:
· Advanced degree (MBA or relevant graduate degree) preferred.
· Experience working in the capability operating model
· Experience partnering with enterprise platform teams or capability teams supporting digital and operational capabilities.
· Experience working in rare disease or specialty brands, with strong understanding of unique stakeholder dynamics.
Working Requirements:
· 20-30% travel will be required.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $140,800.00 - $211,200.00
Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
