The Senior Director, Commercial Data Enablement & Platforms plays a critical role in shaping how Jazz enables data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. This role is responsible for partnering with the Technology Domain Lead (in the Digital Enterprise Capabilities organization) to drive the development of a unified, governed commercial data foundation, ensuring customer, market, and engagement data are integrated, trusted, and accessible to power analytics, insights, and personalized experiences. It goes beyond data management to proactively define how data is scaled as a strategic asset, establishing the platforms, standards, and governance required to deliver high-quality data capabilities that support analytics, orchestration, and AI-driven capabilities. As a senior strategic partner to franchise, analytics, and technology leaders, this role embeds commercial data enablement into how Jazz operates, connecting data across customer types, enabling 360-degree views, and supporting seamless, coordinated execution across marketing, analytics, and customer engagement.

This role will report to the head of Customer Insights & Data in Customer Experience Operations and directly leads a team that includes:

- An individual focused on Global Commercial Data Strategy, responsible for data sourcing, vendor management, and aligning data capabilities to business priorities across analytics, activation, and customer engagement

- The Global Capability Owners for Data Master (US) and Data Master & Management (EUR/INT), responsible for building and maintaining centralized source of truth for commercial HCP, HCO, payer, patient, consent data masters

- The Global Capability Owners for Data Management acts as the primary interface for franchise and functions, addressing data-related needs, overseeing data quality and overseeing the development of customer 360 capabilities, including for specialty pharmacy / specialty distributor data

- The Global Capability Owners for HCP/HCO Data Management and Payer/Patient Data Management, responsible for delivering unified, trusted, and scalable commercial data assets (C360 for HCP, HCO, Payer, Patient) that enable analytics, AI, and omnichannel engagement

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership, Strategy and Vision

· Set the vision, multi-year strategy, capability roadmaps for the Commercial Data Enablement & Platforms team, aligned to enterprise CX priorities and the capability operating model.

· Define and govern a scalable, centralized data operating model for commercial data, including data sourcing, ingestion, standardization, governance, and quality frameworks to enable consistent, trusted data across brands, markets, and functions.

· Establish and maintain commercial data standards that enable scalability, interoperability, and reuse while reducing duplication, rework, and fragmentation across systems and teams.

· Align commercial data to enterprise-defined governance frameworks, ensuring effective stewardship, data quality and lifecycle management to strengthen trust, usability, and adoption.

· Own budget and resource allocation, making investment decisions across capabilities and teams to maximize impact and long-term value.

· Set and evolve team vision and strategy, aligned to Customer Insights & Data priorities and Jazz objectives.

· Translate franchise, functional, regional and customer strategies into clear priorities.

· Define and govern how commercial data capabilities should mature over time, balancing near-term execution needs with long-term standardization, scalability, and reuse (in partnership with Domain and Technical Domain Leads for Customer Insights & Data).

· Partner with the Data, Analytics & Insights Domain Lead and Technical Suite Lead on resource planning, capability development, technology roadmap, and evolution of the operating model as data capabilities mature.

· Own and evolve the Commercial Data Enablement & Platforms Suite vision and strategy, aligned to domain strategy and global objectives.

People Management

· Partner with CX and DEC Head of Customer Insights & Data on resource planning, talent strategy, and capability development, including attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing data talent as capabilities and the operating model evolve.

· Lead and develop Team Leads, reinforcing clear decision rights, accountability, and performance expectations. This includes:

  • CX Global Data Strategy lead, responsible for defining and executing the global commercial data acquisition strategy, ensuring robust agreements with 3rd party data vendors, and managing the commercial data inventory to enable consistent, high-quality use of data across CX
  • CX Global Capability Owner, Data Master (US), accountable for delivering accurate, standardized master data management (MDM) solutions across US commercial domains, enabling trusted source of truth for customer data
  • CX Global Capability Owner, Data Master & Management (EUR/INT), accountable for delivering standardized and high-quality commercial data across EUR/INT markets, aligned to enterprise standards while addressing regional requirements to support reliable, compliant and interoperable customer data
  • CX Global Capability Owner, Data Management Lead, accountable for overseeing delivery of high-quality commercial data capabilities enabling 360-degree customer views across SP/SD, HCP, HCO, Payer, and Patient, and ensuring effective execution of the end-to-end data lifecycle from ingestion, quality monitoring, and consumption across downstream platforms
  • CX Global Capability Owner, HCP/HCO Data Management, accountable for delivery of high-quality HCP / HCO data assets, supporting with data ingestion, quality monitoring and ongoing maintenance of customer 360 for HCP/HCO data
  • CX Global Capability Owner, Patient and Payer Data Management, accountable for delivery of high-quality patient and payer data assets, supporting with data ingestion, quality monitoring and ongoing maintenance of customer 360 for Patient/Payer

· Provide executive oversight of end-to-end data operations, including offshore team/MSP-managed execution of data quality monitoring and build, governance adherence, vendor performance, and continuous improvement of data availability and reliability.

· Manage vendor partners, ensuring clear accountability, quality delivery and alignment to objectives.

· Foster a high performance-driven culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement across the team.

Cross-Functional & Regional Alignment

· Partner closely with the Activation Leads to ensure user needs, readiness, enablement, and adoption considerations are embedded in team strategy and prioritization.

· Work with franchise, functional, and regional stakeholders to define clear commercial data priorities, balancing local needs with global data standards and scalable ways of working.

· Bring together connected capabilities across Customer Analytics & Insights, Advanced Analytics & Optimization, and Customer Orchestration in partnership with Technology, Legal and Compliance to ensure Commercial Data Enablement & Platforms operates as a integrated global capability that powers other capabilities and our business more broadly.

· Represent the Commercial Data Enablement & Platforms team in cross-functional forums to manage dependencies, resolve risks, and drive adoption of enterprise data platforms, standards, and governance practices.

· Lead resolution of complex, cross-team issues affecting Campaign Orchestration performance or adoption.

· Identify organizational training needs and partner with Learning & Development to design and deliver targeted capability-building programs that enable effective execution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical Skills

· Deep understanding of commercial data operating models, including data governance, data quality management, stewardship, audit readiness, and continuous improvement embedded within modern data ecosystems.

· Deep understanding of commercial data management, including customer, account, payer, and patient data and how they are governed and integrated including concepts such as PII and GDPR.

· Strong understanding of enterprise data platforms and architecture, including data fabric/mesh, master data management (MDM), data integration, and semantic layers that enable scalable, compliant data access across brands and regions.

· Strong command of data standardization and reuse frameworks, including data models, taxonomies, and metadata management that reduce duplication and enable consistent, interoperable data across systems and use cases.

· Familiarity with omnichannel data flows and integration, supporting alignment across digital, field, and third-party data sources to enable unified customer views and engagement.

· Knowledge of best practices associated with data mesh structures and data modeling; familiar with the features of capabilities such as AWS Redshift and Snowflake.

· Experience working within Agile product development teams and product operating models.

· Experience with AI/ML, data automation, or advanced analytics workflows, including enabling data pipelines and platforms that support predictive models, personalization, and decision intelligence.

· Experience leading and developing a high-performing team, including resource planning, performance management, and talent development to support evolving business needs.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science, Analytics, Technology, Engineering, healthcare, or a related field.

· 15+ years of experience in data management, data platforms, data strategy, analytics, or related domains, with experience in building and scaling enterprise data capabilities and governance frameworks in a highly-regulated industry.

· 5+ years of experience in pharma, with proven experience in data enablement, data platforms, or commercial data management.

· 6-8 years of experience leading people, including managing and developing high-performing teams and driving accountability across functions.

· Experience working with global data platforms, data governance solutions, MDM tools, CRM systems, reporting tools, or comparable technologies.

· Strong understanding of commercial data and how they support business needs in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.

Preferred / Additional Qualifications:

· Advanced degree (MBA or relevant graduate degree) preferred.

· Experience working in the capability operating model.

· Experience partnering with enterprise platform teams or global capability teams supporting digital and operational capabilities.

· Experience working in rare disease or specialty brands, with strong understanding of unique stakeholder dynamics.

· Experience leading and developing distributed, matrixed teams including global and onshore/offshore models, with strong ability to align resources, drive accountability and ensure consistent delivery standards

Working Requirements:

· 20% to 30% travel will be required.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $224,000.00 - $336,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
