The Associate Director, Learning & Development, Marketing Excellence, Global Capability Op Model & Data is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-impact marketing excellence training programs, as well as helping teams understand the Global Capability Operating Model and how different data sets are structured, governed, and intended to be used across Jazz. These programs will equip marketing teams with the skills, judgement and discipline needed to drive strong brand strategy, effective planning, high-quality execution and measurement. It will also focus on improving clarity, consistency, and confidence in how teams work in the Global Capability Operating model and how they access, interpret and apply data. This role reports to the Director of L&D Commercial Excellence and will partner with brand and franchises marketing teams and Global Capability and Data & Enablement teams to translate complex concepts into practical, role based learning.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Own and execute the enterprise learning and adoption strategy for Marketing Excellence capabilities, establishing global curricula, capability development pathways, and role-based learning experiences that progress from foundational to advanced levels and align with commercial priorities, capability roadmaps, and transformation initiatives.
Serve as the strategic advisor to Commercial Leadership, Global Capability leaders, and franchise leadership on marketing capability development priorities and organizational readiness.
Design and scale role-based onboarding and capability development programs that strengthen core marketing excellence skills—including brand strategy, insight-driven planning, executional excellence, analytics, and decision-making—by translating frameworks, playbooks, and best practices into practical learning experiences.
Lead enterprise adoption of Marketing Excellence standards, new ways of working, and customer engagement models through integrated learning, performance consulting, change management, and capability-building interventions that drive sustained behavior change, operational excellence, and business readiness.
Partner with Global Capability, Commercial, Analytics, Brand, and Data & Enablement leaders to develop learning solutions that build understanding and adoption of the Global Capability Operating Model, including roles, responsibilities, decision rights, and enterprise ways of working.
Develop and oversee learning programs that enable marketers to understand, access, interpret, and appropriately apply commercial data assets, including data governance principles, ownership models, access requirements, limitations, and intended business use.
Present capability insights, adoption metrics, risks, recommendations, and organizational readiness assessments to executive leadership teams.
Facilitate leadership alignment around capability evolution, organizational readiness, and performance improvement opportunities.
Establish measurement frameworks to assess learning effectiveness, capability adoption, behavior change, and organizational impact; leverage stakeholder feedback, performance metrics, and emerging industry trends to continuously evolve learning priorities and programs.
Build organizational capability within the Learning & Development function through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and best-practice development.
Collaboration
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Franchises, Customer Insights & Analytics, Legal, and Compliance to ensure marketing excellence content is accurate, practical, and compliant
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Global Capability Teams, DEC, and Compliance partners to ensure accuracy, alignment, and appropriate use guidance.
Collaborate with adjacent L&D team members to ensure alignment across curricula.
Engage regional stakeholders to drive consistent adoption while accounting for local needs.
Share insights, risks, and lessons learned with CX peers and team leadership to support alignment and continuous improvement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of commercial marketing models, brand planning, and core marketing capabilities.
Strong understanding of the product operating model, including design, key roles and ways of working.
Solid working knowledge of commercial data concepts, including different data types, purpose and limitations.
Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design, content development and training delivery
Proficient in learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Proven experience designing and delivering role‑based training using adult learning principles.
Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, enterprise environment.
Experience developing training metrics and measuring learning impact and outcomes.
Comfort facilitating sessions for both individual contributors and leaders.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, technology, or related field.
10 years of industry experience in marketing, preferably in specialty pharmaceuticals/biotech, data and/or IT related roles
2+ years of experience in training, with a proven track record of developing and delivering engaging training solutions using adult learning principles and distance learning methodologies.
Preferred / Additional Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MBA or relevant graduate degree) preferred.
Leadership experience in marketing preferred, including strategy development and cross-functional collaboration to drive marketing effectiveness and capability building.
Experience working in a product operating model.
Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
Working Requirements:
50-60% travel will be required.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00
Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
