Brief Description:

The Senior Director, Corporate FP&A, is a pivotal enterprise leader role operating at the intersection of corporate strategy, financial planning, and executive decision support. This role drives enterprise level strategic planning, scenario modelling, and decision support to executive leadership. In additional the Senior Director will strategic reporting to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, direct financial planning calendar and cadence, and champion continuous improvement of financial processes, insights, and tools.

This leader will influence senior stakeholders across the organization, steward critical enterprise processes, and ensure that strategic priorities are translated into robust plans, measurable KPIs, and high impact insights that drive confident decision making. This role reports to the Head of Global Finance within the CFO organization. They will be a key leader in the Global Finance organization and play a critical role in driving its strategy.

Key Functions/Responsibilities

Enterprise Capital Allocation: Constructively challenge and support capital allocation decisions at the enterprise level, including target setting and enterprise-wide capital allocation discussions, ensuring alignment with Jazz’s strategy. Deliver thoughtful and impactful financial modelling, scenario analysis and strategic insights in support of these interactions.

Enterprise Planning Process Ownership: Oversee corporate planning cycles end-to-end, including target setting, enterprise KPI definition, strategic alignment, and executive review processes. Own and manage the corporate calendar, ensuring clarity on milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement. Partner across Global Finance, Forecasting CoE and other enterprise stakeholders to ensure effective execution, and embed a continuous improvement approach.

Executive and Board Reporting: Lead the delivery of Executive Committee and Board of Directors reporting packages, ensuring accuracy and quality of insight to advise senior leadership on enterprise performance.

Quarterly Earnings Responsibilities: Partner with SEC Reporting and Investor Relations teams on quarterly earnings preparation instilling cohesive and timely information flow across the CFO organization, including directing and reviewing Global Finance contributions to earnings material development. Prepare external financial guidance analysis and recommendation in support of our external reporting.

Jazz Corporate Incentive Schemes: Partner with Global Head of Total Rewards and Wellbeing to design Jazz’s annual corporate bonus and long-term incentive scheme. Engaging with executive leadership to ensure alignment with Jazz’s strategy, assess program performance and prepare materials for the Board of Directors. 

Strategic Initiatives: Lead financial assessment on enterprise level or confidential initiatives leveraging in-depth enterprise knowledge along with modelling and analytical skills to enable strategic planning and enterprise decision making. Partnering effectively with Global Finance leadership and other enterprise leaders, as needed, to deliver impactful options and/or recommendations.

Corporate Development and Strategy: Partner with these functions on an as needed basis to provide technical expertise and advice towards their workstreams.

Executive Interaction: Engage with the Executive Committee, CEO and CFO covering high-level financial discussions, in support of the Head of Global Finance.

Global Finance Transformation: Play a key role in the ongoing transformation of our Global Finance organization including championing AI adoption, Oracle EPM adoption, forecast process improvements and driving improvements in practices and processes.

Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the Corporate FP&A team and foster critical matrix relationships within the FP&A Operations and across Global Finance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep expertise across FP&A including enterprise planning and target setting, strategic reporting, and financial performance management. Experience in a global biopharmaceutical is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes, work in matrix organizations and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, and lead a high-performance organization 

  • Strong skills in financial modeling and analytics, with the ability translate complex analysis into compelling strategic narratives

  • Demonstrated financial acumen and problem‑solving capability.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems including Oracle and SAP.

  • Willingness to travel internationally, including to our headquarters in Dublin.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Relevant financial or management qualification (MBA, qualified accountant or equivalent), with a minimum of 10 years’ operational experience required.
