We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our growing global digital communications team. The Manager, Social Media is responsible for developing, executing, and measuring the company’s social media strategy across owned corporate channels. Reporting to the Director, Global Digital Communications, this individual will translate complex science and business milestones into clear, engaging, and compliant content that builds brand visibility, strengthens reputation, and deepens engagement with patients, healthcare professionals, employees, investors, and prospective talent.

This is a hands-on role for a creative, data-driven social media practitioner who is energized by fast-moving digital environments and comfortable operating within a regulated industry.

Essential Job Functions:

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute an integrated social media strategy aligned with the corporate narrative and broader communications priorities

  • Build and manage the global social media editorial calendar, coordinating with corporate, brand, R&D, HR, and regional teams

  • Identify opportunities to amplify company milestones, data announcements, congresses, and corporate initiatives across social channels

Content Creation & Channel Management

  • Own day-to-day management of corporate social channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms)

  • Create and oversee original content — copy, graphics, video, and short-form assets — that is on-brand, accessible, and audience-appropriate

  • Partner with creative and agency resources to produce high-quality assets on deadline

  • Support executive social presence, including content development and coaching for senior leaders

Community Engagement & Monitoring

  • Manage social listening, community moderation, and engagement in line with company policy and escalation protocols

  • Monitor conversation and sentiment relevant to the company, therapeutic areas, and industry; flag emerging issues to Communications leadership

  • Support issues and crisis response on social channels in partnership with the broader Communications team

Compliance & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Ensure all content adheres to Legal, Regulatory, and Medical review requirements and applicable FDA/FTC guidance for the industry

  • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Medical Affairs, HR, and Investor Relations to ensure accurate, compliant messaging

  • Support employer brand and talent attraction efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define KPIs and deliver regular reporting on channel performance, engagement, and share of voice.

  • Use analytics and social listening insights to optimize content, timing, and channel mix.

  • Manage paid social campaigns and associated budget where applicable.

  • Stay current on platform changes, emerging channels, AI-driven discovery trends and best practices in healthcare and biopharma social.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • 5–7 years of relevant social media experience, ideally including in-house corporate or agency work supporting large or global organizations. Biopharma, healthcare, or life sciences experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, engaging content for varied audiences.

  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills with a sharp eye for brand voice and detail.

  • Working knowledge of FDA/FTC considerations for social media in a regulated industry preferred.

  • Experience managing paid social campaigns and working with creative or media agencies.

  • Highly collaborative, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential topics.

Required/Preferred Education And Licenses

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, English, Journalism or related field.

  • Proficiency with social publishing, listening, and analytics platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics).

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $124,000.00 - $186,000.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
